(included with New Student Enrollment fee)
A judogi (judo uniform) is required for classes. During the free week’s trial classes, judogi’s will be loaned to students. Once a student decides to continue classes, they will need to purchase a judogi. SWJA sells quality judogi’s and will assist students in determining the correct size. Scholarships and Donations
SWJA raises funds to support our 501c3 “not-for-profit” dojo and offset costs associated in preparing for and attending national tournaments. We are in process of evaluating additional fund raising activities that can be conducted throughout the year that would supplement our annual Southwest Judo Open tournament, held over Labor Day weekend.
Should you have experience in fund-raising or just a desire to help, please let us know.
501c(3) Public Not-for-Profit Organization
Should you have the financial resources, tax-deductible donations can be made to Southwest Judo Academy. As a 501c(3) “not-for-profit” organization, your donations (not monthly class dues) to SWJA may be tax-deductible (Please check with your CPA or tax advisor regarding your individual situation). SWJA can provide information or documentation regarding our not-for-profit status and number along with a receipt for your donations.
